ARTERIOSCLEROSIS

General condition information:

This is a condition of degeneration, when the inner wall of the arteries harden, mostly with old age. It is frequently accompanied by high blood pressure. The progressive hardening of the arteries will result in a more sluggish movement of the blood through the body and therefore the toxic waste will not be properly disposed of. Hence an insufficient amount of oxygen will be transported through the body by the bloodstream which, in turn, will inevitably lead to further problems.

In order to prevent coronary heart disease, it is essential to take steps to control arteriosclerosis. There are methods that allow us to do so and sometimes the condition can indeed be reversed. To this end a low cholesterol diet, or even a macrobiotic diet, will be necessary.

Dietary advice

On the whole we eat too much animal protein and continue to use saturated products, excess salt and sugar. Thereby placing undue stress on the cardiovascular system. Let me warn you that unless a diet is low in cholesterol and sugar and lower in protein, we cannot expect to reverse arteriosclerosis. Wild rice should be the foundation of the diet, supplemented by raw vegetables and curds. A fresh salad, prepared with fresh whey and natural oils, should be eaten every day. Instead of regular cheese, eat only mild, white cheese, curds or cottage cheese. Eat very little meat and infrequently.

Exercise

Take long country walks at a good pace to stimulate deep breathing. If it is not possible to do this on a daily basis, at least use the weekend for that purpose. Instead of spending time watching television, or behind the wheel of a car, get out and exercise your legs, and your heart will benefit.

Remedies

Please remember that if you are taking any prescribed medication or have a medical problem, you should consult your own medical practitioner before starting any new course of treatment.
