BEDWETTING

General condition information:

Bed-wetting is a real problem that affects mother and child alike. Even though it may be the result of some emotional upset or nervous tension, certain remedies, physical therapy and a bland diet may greatly assist and even help to overcome the emotional problem also.
Bed-wetting in older children, if they do not have a cold or some other physical complaint or weakness, can generally be attributed to a psychological conflict. This may be due to unpleasantness within the home or school, or the child may have simply been spoiled.

Dietary advice

The diet should be low in fat and salt. Food and drink should not be consumed after 5 pm. Ideally, the diet should consist of brown rice, together with vegetables and salad. The child should be taught to chew their food well and thoroughly, so that the food becomes properly mixed with saliva in order to promote good digestion.

Remedies

Please remember that if you are taking any prescribed medication or have a medical problem, you should consult your own medical practitioner before starting any new course of treatment.
