MENIERES SYNDROME

General condition information:

Meniere’s Syndrome is one of those afflictions where feelings of dizziness, ringing in the ear, and giddiness can result from either a disease in the inner ear or a brain mechanism malfunction.

Although Meniere’s Syndrome patients often suffer a hearing loss, the opposite can also occur, which in a way, can be an even worse handicap to live with and that is when they are intermittently plagued by sounds inside their heads.

Dietary advice

Niacin (vitamin B3) is a member of the vitamin B complex group. In its capacity as a co-enzyme, Niacin assists enzymes in the breakdown and utilisation of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Niacin is also effective in improving circulation and reducing the cholesterol level in the blood. It is vital to the proper activity of the nervous system. I would advise one capsule of Hexaniacin, twice a day.

Relaxation Exercises

Hara breathing exercises (See under H)
