Marcus
Webb BSc (Hons) ND DO PGCert MIBiol CBiol
Marcus Webb qualified from the British
College of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly known as the British
College of Osteopathy and Naturopathy) as an osteopath and
naturopath in 1988. After graduating he returned to lecture
on a part-time basis at BOCM for over 4 years until the demands
of his clinical work took over. Since then he has worked closely
with his father-in-law, Jan de Vries, at his own North London
clinic as well as at Troon where he will be working on a full
time basis alongside Jan from July 2004.
Over the years Marcus has gained great clinical experience
working with Jan which has allowed him to offer his patients
a similar holistic approach to managing their health problems.
During his acupuncture training Marcus spent 6 months working
in the pain clinic at the Royal Free Hospital, London. This
exposure to a wide variety of chronic and acute pain syndromes
stimulated his interest in the effective combination of osteopathy
and acupuncture he now uses at the Troon clinic.
From the naturopathic perspective he has a keen interest in
the holistic approach to healthcare especially the natural
management of brittle bones (Osteoporosis), and the menopause
and its related health issues.
Marcus is a member of the General Osteopathic Council; the
British Naturopathic Association; the British Medical Acupuncture
Society; a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine; and a
Chartered Member of the Institute of Biology. He is a published
author and regularly contributes to various Health Publications.
Marcus is available for appointments at Troon, Hadley Wood
(associated clinic) (www.hadleywoodhealthcare.co.uk),
Glasgow.
